OlderAbigail Breslin: A 'Hunger Games' Contender?
Add one more name to the never-ending list of actresses who want to be a part of The Hunger Games.
But Abigail Breslin, 14, isn’t eying the lead role of Katniss, she wants to be Prim!
Abigail shared with MTV, “I think it’s an amazing book. I’m a huge fan of the books. It’s amazing, obviously it would be great [to be in the film].”
“[If I couldn't be Prim, I'd be] Obviously Katniss,” she added. “All the characters in the books are amazing. It’s a very cool book. The characters in it are very strong and very cool. It’s an amazing series.”

Don’t know i think her acting is amazing but she’s too young for katniss n she can’t bee prim specially because she is brunette and prim is an 11 years old

NOO,she (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4271482/) should either be prim or glimmer, (more of a glimmer), before anyone else like abigail they need to do all unknown cast instead of people like hailee elle chloe and abigail

Hmm I don’t about this one. Abigail is a talented young actress to be sure but I think she is too robust to be Prim.is pretty fragile well that’s how Katniss percieves her anyway. Of the two characters I do see her as more of a Priim but it’s a stretch. LIke I said she is talented so I would put her down as a “Maybe with strong reservations:” as Prim. But its quite a stretch IMO.
I love Abigail’s acting but does anyone else think that Sarah Bolger would be an awesome Katniss??
NO. She’s too young to play Katniss, and too old for Prim. I personally don’t think she fits the role of either. I can’t help but think this movie is going to be a major disappointment. I am a huge fan of the books, but the casting choices for the movie are very ******, indeed.
Who are these opinionated people? Sure, she would be great as Prim. If Chloe and Hailee or Kaya are a good choice then Abigail should have a shot too. She is a better actress than the three of those gals.
Alyson Stoner would make a great Katniss or Rue!
i think she fits the role of Prim, but she’s definitely too young to play Katniss. i think they should just cast unknowns like shelby said. well known actors would ruin the story in my opinion

Abigail would be a great Prim. Especially if Hailee were Katniss the movie would be awesome. They are my favourite actresses
is looks to old if any one glimmer prim is only twelve and it would be a waste of theater make-up to make her look that way and she is way to vague to have even read the book

No. She is nothing like Prim. Prim has blonde hair and blue eyes. Not to mention, this girl is WAY to old. No Katniss either. Come on people! There are a lot more people that are good actresses that could play these parts. If she gets the part, make her look different!

how about some new faces in hollywood? dont get me wrong, abigail breslin and elle fanning are BOTH incredible rising actresses. since its confirmed that jennifer lawrence is officially katniss, a few other famous faces are sure to follow. there are so many great unknown actresses out there who havent been in ANYTHING yet still deserve to be reconigzed, some that are even better than the ones that are stars today. and also, fans shouldn’t stress about hair/eye color or skin tone. think about what a $60 million budget can accomplish in term of appearence. thanks!
