Emma Watson IS The New Face of Lancome -- Confirmed!

Like we told you back in February, Emma Watson is the new face of Lancome.

The 20-year-old British beauty was spotted filming her first commercial in Paris with famed photographer Mario Testino on Monday afternoon (March 14).

Emma had tweeted out riddles for her fans over the weekend about the announcement.

Lancome shared about the newest ‘face’: “Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation. we are delighted by this new collaboration with Emma who brings a fresh spirit to Lancôme.”

I think she’s wayyy to young for Lancome, it is an old lady brand!

  • Adriana

    So pretty!

  • Warren

She is pretty, but will be a lot more sexy when she grows her hair out. She said so herself!

  • Riya

    she’s just amazing.

Go Emma! She’s got Burberry and now Lancome! Impressive.
She looks so beautiful (unsurprisingly) in those shots. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

  • Chanon

I love this girl! It’s great how she’s taking on so many different roles. :D

These pics were obviously taken from distance by the press so whilst they prob won’t be quite what the ad will look like, she still looks great in them! when it’s all finished it will look really good. Pleased she’s doing a perfume advert and Tresor Midnight Rose (hence it being all dark etc) sounds really cool.

How could she be an actress, model, brand ambassador, fair trade advocate/humanitarian, fashion designer, and university student all at the same time? Dropping uni for modeling/spokesperson role wasn’t a very good idea, honestly. The actresses who she followed in the footsteps of for the Lancome adds were in their 30′s and 40′s. She should have waited until she was that age before taking on more spokesperson roles. What will she do when she is 30 when the freshness of seeing her in an add has already been done ten years before? She will never have the same impact with the audience of seeing her in a beauty campaign, because she already did it at 20! School can wait, but it is tough to enjoy uni or have the experience of studying with friends for four years together when you always leave school and come back with a whole new cohort each year/semester….an older student really sticks out like a sore thumb in a classroom full of 19 year olds who aren’t even old enough to drink, while being a brand ambassador for an older brand is precocious in the wrong sense.

@Wow : I think she’s doing all that crazy things because now, in 2011, she is very iconic. And if she disappears for a while in order to enjoy “student life”, and come back in 2014 (after being graduated), I think she would not have the popularity, people would forget her, other young iconic ladies would be there, etc. So, she had to take advantage of her golden reputation, now, and build her “empire”.

However, I am agree that she’s too young for representing Lancôme (but who can say “no” to a l’Oréal brand ?).

it’s sad she halted her education for sth like this :(
