David Archuleta keeps it cool as he hits up the 2011 CMT Music Awards at the Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday night (June 8) in Nashville, Tenn.
The 20-year-old musician tweeted after the big show, “Had a great time at the CMT awards! Fun seeing a bunch of familiar faces actually too.”
David is actually back in the Country Capital to work on new music with his new band. We can’t wait to hear new stuff!
Earlier in the week, David stopped by the Grand Ole Opry.

I think Nashville is a good fit for David. Lots of great songwriters and people who I think “get” him. Nashville isn’t just about country music.

Hollywood is getting crowded with gossip makers. Serious musicians don’t go there any more. David loves Nashville and the vibe it creates. Real music FTW!!
I am pulling for David! Still such a fan! Can’t wait for some new music :-) Not sure about him working in the COUNTRY capitol, but hope his music stays pop or even dips into a spanglish kinda thing. Super pumped! I love this boy! Beautiful voice! Go DAVID!
