Daniella Monet & Drake Bell: 'A Fairly Odd' Interview, Part II

We’re back with a bit more of our exclusive interview with Daniella Monet and Drake Bell!

Drake on filming with ‘fairies’ and cardboard cutouts: “It was definitely interesting. They would come in and have these cardboard cutouts of Cosmo and Wanda and they would tell you exactly where they were supposed to be floating around. They’d screenshot it for post-production and you’d have to do the scenes a couple times because they would take the cutouts away. It was a bit easier when you’re doing it by yourself, because when Daniella and I were in the same scene and interacting with the fairies, really we had to make sure we were on the same mark and looking in the same spot.”

Daniella on her favorite Fairly OddParents episode: “I liked Timmy’s birthday episode. Tootie had a few fun moments in there.”

Drake on his: “I don’t know what it was called but there’s this episode where the dad is really excited about this Miss Dimsdale contest. It was kind of like the Miss America pageant. The dad was wanting to be in this pageant. It was a great episode. And the guy who voiced him in the series, is actually the dad in the live action movie. Daran Norris also plays Cosmo too. He’s great.”

Daniella on Tootie’s wardrobe: “I love Tootie’s wardrobe. It was exceptionally different. You see her and you think a certain type of clothes and items and then I come out and it’s all disco and retro. I loved the leather patent red boots.”

Drake on wearing all pink for Timmy: “It’s funny. You watch the movie and say, ‘Wow. He is wearing all pink. All pink.’ But then you see the cartoon and you don’t notice the pink. I think I wear it well (laughs).”
