Twitter is nearly as real-time as IRC. I am amazed at how much I have come to rely on Twitter to inform me of history-in-the-making. Today, for example, alerted by Twitter, I watched MSNBC on television to see the Nomi Prins interview on the Dylan Ratigan show, explaining the growing Occupy movements. But it was preempted for the Dr. Conrad Murray guilty verdict. MSNBC was all cheer-leading vastly harsher drug laws (a more totalitarian police state), to even further restrict access to doctor-prescribed pain meds. They acted like they had the moral high ground. Yet it was MSNBC that killed Michael Jackson in the first place, by driving him to suicide owing to their 24/7 relentless hate-campaign that portrayed of him as an all-out monster, and then they “blamed the gun”, for his death, so to speak, and took to rabidly cheer-leading the conviction of the doctor who killed “our king of pop”, replete with demanding ever-harsher police-state laws against seemingly everything.

It’s probably OK for Miley to catch her breath, we can remember it’s her birthday coming up this month, even if she’s playing hooky from Twitter.
