AJ Michalka shields herself from the sun in a fun orange hat on Saturday afternoon (July 28) in Calabasas, Calif.

The 21-year-old actress is currently filming opposite Alicia Silverstone on “Jesus in Cowboy Boots,” Variety reports.

The movie centers around a small-town girl (Michalka), who struggles with her self absorbed mother (Silverstone). She realizes her potential with the help of her imaginary friend The Cowboy (Billy Burke), in a community built on an abandoned drive-in movie lot along the Texas-Oklahoma border.
