OlderMiley Cyrus In Talks For Bonnie & Clyde Miniseries
Miley Cyrus holds hands with fiance Liam Hemsworth while out and about on Saturday afternoon (September 29) in Santa Monica, Calif.
According to Deadline, the 19-year-old actress is in talks to play Bonnie in a new miniseries for History Channel and Lifetime.
Written by John Rice and Joe Batteer, the four-parter is based on the true story of bank robbing couple Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow.
Bonnie and Clyde were well-known outlaws, robbers, and criminals who traveled the Central United States with their “Barrow Gang” during the Great Depression.

Miley Cyrus as Bonnie Parker? On one hand I can’t really see this working. But on the other hand I do have to give her credit for thinking out-of -the-box and pursuing such a role. If she wants to be taking seriously as an actress this is exactly the kind of moves she needs to make. I think for a while now she been in danger of just becoming just a persona known for superficial nonsense like cutting and dying her hair and (not-really all that outrageous) tweets that for some reason become blown out of proportion. I thought that she essentially was going to become famous simply for being famous like Paris Hilton. So while I remain skeptical I say kudos to Miley for going for it.
I really don’t understand the appeal of this outfit at all, but at the end of the day everyone wears what they want. I wouldn’t wear it personally, but she seems to like it. Why does she keep cutting her hair? If she wants to pursue acting it’s not very versatile.

Bonnie Parker was an uneducated Texan who left school to marry at 16, during the Depression. Cyrus is much more like Bonnie than professionally trained, college grad Faye Dunaway. But, I don’t think this is a good idea, because she is a much better comedic actress, drama just doesn’t seem to be her forte. We’ll see, I guess.
This would be a very challenging role for her. I hope she does it.
The more Miley on TV the better. Sexy Miley!
