Charlie Askew and Elijah Liu hit the stage to perform during the Semi-Finals on the Wednesday (March 6) episode of American Idol!

Charlie, 18, took on Genesis‘ “Mama” while Elijah, 18, sang Rihanna‘s latest hit “Stay.”

The judges thought Elijah had improved from the week before, but poor Charlie started tearing up as Keith Urban told him, “something doesn’t feel genuine.”
