OlderRowan Blanchard: 'Girl Meets World' Gets Ordered to Series by Disney!
Good news – the Boy Meets World spin-off, Girl Meets World, has just gotten a series order!
According to THR, the Disney Channel has decided to pick up the show and start filming more episodes!
The New York City-set story will follow 7th grader Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and her best friend Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) as they navigate through middle school.
Their plans for a carefree year will be adjusted under the watch of Riley’s parents Cory (Ben Savage), who works as a history teacher at the school, and Topanga (Danielle Fishel), who owns an afterschool hangout known for its pudding.
Meanwhile Mr. Feeny (William Daniels) will reprise his role in the first episode.
Production is set to begin this summer in Los Angeles, with a 2014 premiere date in mind.
