Little Mix: 'X Factor' Was the Best Platform for Us!

Jade Thirwall is glowing as she hops out of a car and heads to go shopping on Sunday afternoon (August 4) in New York City.

The 20-year-old singer and her Little Mix band mates – Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson – recently opened up about their experience being discovered on the U.K.’s X Factor.

“It was the best platform ever,” Jade told VH1. “I mean, it was such a whirlwind. Like, it happened so quickly, but I feel like it was the best way for us. We just got thrown in and you learn to deal with it straight away. I mean, luckily for us, we’ve got each other. As a solo artists, it might have been scarier, but because we’ve got each other to keep each other grounded and everything and to support each other, it was a lot easier.”
