'The Book Thief's Sophie N�lisse Spotted in SoHo

Sophie N�lisse turns her head towards the camera while out and about in SoHo, New York City on Thursday afternoon (August 15).

The 13-year-old actress held onto a copy of Interview mag while heading to an awaiting car with her mom.

Sophie stars in the upcoming The Book Thief, out in theaters on November 15th.

Based on the book of the same name by Markus Zusak, Liesel Meminger (N�lisse) is a foster girl living outside of Munich, who scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can’t resist�books. With the help of her accordion-playing foster father, she learns to read and shares her stolen books with her neighbors during bombing raids as well as with the Jewish man hidden in her basement.
