'The Carrie Diaries' Season 2 Interview: Austin Butler on Sebastian's 'Thing for Older Women'

We can’t wait for The Carrie Diaries to return, so we’ve got a week’s worth of interviews with the cast leading up to the premiere!

First up is the dreamy Austin Butler, whose character Sebastian is still dealing with the aftermath of making out with Maggie (Katie Findlay) behind Carrie’s (AnnaSophia Robb) back.

Austin gave us some scoop on what we can expect and even teased a new love interest for Sebastian!

JustJaredJr: Where do Carrie and Sebastian stand when we come back?

Austin Butler: Sebastian does feel very bad about what happened last year and I think he spent his summer thinking about Carrie. So they are definitely going to be around each other this season, but there are other relationships that make their relationship complicated. But either way, they can’t seem to let each other go.

JJJ: So will we see some jealousy on his part?

AB: Absolutely. Whether or not he shows it, he feels it.

JJJ: What’s going on with Sebastian and Maggie in wake of their hookup?

AB: Maggie doesn’t stop trying to talk to Sebastian this year. They are around each other and you kind of don’t know what’s going to happen.

JJJ: What’s this we hear about another older woman coming into Sebastian’s life?

AB: He does kind of have a thing for older women. That’s a complicated relationship. You have to watch that one. She’s around town and he’s around town and they meet. He’s in New York a lot more this year and as the season progresses, everyone is kind of in New York.

JJJ: And what about Samantha? Do we see her interact with Sebastian at all?

AB: So far, we haven’t gotten to work together a lot, but you never know. Especially on The CW. Crazy stuff can happen.
