“What the writers really wanted to show is how she became the Red Queen,” Emma recently shared about playing the Red Queen in the ABC show. “She wasn’t born a queen, so how did she get to this position? And now, the motivation is, Alice has something that the Red Queen wants, and throughout the series we explore to what lengths the Red Queen is willing to go.”
