Ellie Goulding on Divergent's 'Beating Heart': 'It Was Kind of Perfect'

The 27-year-old British singer chatted with Matt Lauer about how the track ended up on the Divergent soundtrack.

“I had the song, and I’d performed it and recorded it,” Ellie shared. “I didn’t know they were going to use it for the film. But actually, once I … thought about it, I thought it was kind of perfect, kind of really suited the whole sort of theme.”

Ellie is also seen arriving at JFK airport and back to her hotel after promo on MTV the night before (March 11).
