Shenae Grimes Didn't Mean To Insult Hamilton, Ontario on Twitter -- Read Her Statement

Shenae Grimes keeps close to her husband of one year, Josh Beech, outside the Chrome Hearts Collection Launch Party in Los Angeles on Thursday night (May 8).

The 24-year-old actress recently came under fire for her recent comments on filming in Hamilton, Ontario earlier this year.

“Biggest thanks to the supportive and patient love of my life for putting up with the long hours in buttf*ck Hamilton! Love you my babe x,” she had written on Twitter and almost immediately was under fire by residents of the city.

Shenae spoke to ET Canada and cleared up the situation: “I am truly horrified and deeply embarrassed by how negatively my tweet has been interpreted by Hamilton residents and other fellow Canadians. First and foremost, I’ve always prided myself on being from such a wonderful and beautiful country and would never want anyone to believe I’d say a bad word about it.”

She continued, “My intention was only using the term comically to describe the middle of nowhere as we were deep in the woods most days, and my sweet husband was there with me for countless hours while I was working. I now see I should have chosen my words more carefully but I do [insert swear word here] love Canada!”
