Jordin Sparks Responds to 'American Idol' Ending (Video)

Jordin Sparks chats it up as she sits down for an interview on The Meredith Vieira Show on Monday (May 11) in New York City.

The 25-year-old singer is still the youngest person to ever win American Idol at 17 years old, and opened up about the show being cancelled after next season. Watch below!

“Its definitely bittersweet, the show really gave me my start,” Jordin said. “I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now if it hadn’t been for that show. For me, I love that it gave every day people a chance to live out their dreams. I am all for that so I’m sad to see that go because it’s the end of an era. What are we going to watch now?”
