Shawn Mendes is Going to Prom, But Doesn't Have a Date Yet

Attention Shawn Mendes fans – he needs a date to prom!

“I am, I am going to prom,” the 16-year-old singer told Ryan Seacrest. “I haven’t exactly figured out how that’s going to come about, but I will be attending my school prom.”

When asked who his date is, Shawn said, “There is none yet. No…I guess I have to figure my stuff out. I don’t have much time.”

As for what kind of girl he likes, he said, “I like funny girls. I like dancers. I have a thing for girls who dance.”

It was also just announced that Shawn will perform at the upcoming 2015 MuchMusic Video Awards alongside Ed Sheeran, Nick Jonas, The Weeknd, and Jason Derulo! We can’t wait for June 21!
