Kelsea Ballerini gives a major shoutout to Soulshine pizza in this shot from her party held at ASCAP in Nashville, Tenn., on Wednesday night (August 12).
The 21-year-old country singer gathered with friends and family to celebrate her #1 record, “Love Me Like You Mean It.”
Guests toasted with Soulshine pizza – which Kelsea and co-writers Forest Glen Whitehead, Josh Kerr and Lance Carpenter were eating as they wrote the record-breaking smash – and Kelsea also treated the crowd to a pop up acoustic performance.
“Yesterday, I got to celebrate my first #1 with the people that made it happen. I talked about how as dreamers we spend so much of our lives looking forward to the goals we’ve set for ourselves, but that in that moment I started looking back…to the times I sat in big offices starry eyed at 14 and was told I should move to Nashville, to the people I met, the places I’ve played, and the sometimes dull stars that aligned and burned bright and made this milestone happen,” Kelsea wrote on Instagram.
She added, “It’s such a journey. And while I’m looking forward to so much, looking back has never looked so beautiful. Love you. Mean it.”
