'Shadowhunters' Cast Surprise Fans For Pop-Up Santa Event

A group of fans was most definitely surprised by the cast of Shadowhunters last night (December 5) in New York City.

A part of ABC Family’s Pop Up Santa events, 11 lucky superfans got the ultimate fan experience by meeting not only the cast of Freeform’s upcoming Shadowhunters show, but author Cassandra Clare, too!

The fans, after submitting an entry for a contest to meet Cassandra and were flown from around the country to the Big Apple to met her and also received a copy of her new book, “Lady Midnight”, which is out on March 8th. They also got an exclusive screening of tonight’s special Behind the Shadows: The Making of Shadowhunters and received Shadowhunters superfan swag bag.

Beyond the Shadows: The Making of Shadowhunters will air TONIGHT, December 6th @ 9:30PM ET/PT on ABC Family and gives fans a glimpse of the making of the television show. The special will include the cast talking about how they landed their roles and a look into how the cast got into fighting shape.

Cast members Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood, Harry Shum, Jr., Alberto Rosende, Matthew Daddario, Emeraude Toubia and Isaiah Mustafa, plus showrunner Ed Decter and executive producer McG will all be featured in the special.
