The Vamps' James McVey Thanks Fans for 2015, Looks Ahead at 2016

James McVey is saying goodbye to 2015 with a sort of love letter to his fans.

The 21-year-old Vamps musician took to Instagram to share an old photo of the band busking, in addition to a sweet message.

“For me, it’s important to remember your journey; very few are simply ‘successful’ over night,” James wrote. “For The Vamps, our fans were fundamental in the formation and development of the band- you guys helped spread the video of us busking above, watched and shared our covers, and even helped us find and pick Connor!”

He continued, “What I mean is, we had no ‘short cuts’. Due to this, whether we try and explore new areas of musical genre in later songs and albums, we will always attempt to please you with the songs we are writing and producing. This is because YOU deserve to appreciate the achievement of new music just as much as we do; we are in this together and have been from the start.”

“2016 poses a massive challenge for us all- I don’t know how it works with some of the other bands, but for us, anything we have achieved so far derives from extensive work (and that achievement so far is thanks to you just as much as us),” James added. “So, moving forward, we want to thank you for 2015, the best year so far, and look forward to a year of new places, faces and music. We will not forget how we started, because it is so important and makes ‘The Vamps, The Vamps‘.”

We can’t wait for new music in 2016!
