Taylor Swift's '1989' World Tour is The Year's Highest Grossing Concert

With a total of $250 million worldwide, Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour has topped Pollstar’s list of the highest grossing concerts of the year, the LA Times reports.

The 26-year-old singer played 83 shows in 53 cities and sold almost 2.3 million tickets.

Taylor smashed the $162 million record for North American dates with a total of $200 million.

One Direction also placed high on the list at No. 3 with a global gross of $158.8 million. ACDC, U2 and the Foo Fighters rounded out the top five.

Ed Sheeran cracked the top ten for the first time at No.7 with a total of $117.3 million.
