Katherine McNamara Reacts to 'Shadowhunters' Season Two Pick-Up!

Katherine McNamara is super excited about her show Shadowhunters getting a second season – as are we!

We caught up with the 20-year-old actress right after the cast announced the news on Facebook.

“I’m still in shock but all I can say is thank you,” Kat told JJJ. “Thank you to the fans for watching the show and coming on this journey with us. Thank you to Ed Decter, McG, and the teams at Freeform, Constantin, and Netflix for giving us the resources, the platform and the support to make something really special.”

She continued, “Thank you to the cast who I adore and who have become family to me for having such a positive influence on me not only as an artist but as a person as well. Most of all thank you to Cassie for creating this world, and these characters. I am so honored to be entrusted with a character as rich and unique as Clary and to have the opportunity to continue telling her story. There is no other family I would rather share this with! Thank you, thank you thank you! Get ready for season 2, angels! This is only the beginning.”
