Jacob Tremblay Names New Puppy Rey After 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Character

Jacob Tremblay loves his Star Wars…so much that he even named his new puppy after a character from the franchise!

If you saw, the nine-year-old Room actor debuted his adorable toy poodle on the carpet at 2016 WE Day California event earlier this week in Inglewood, Calif., and at that time, the pup was nameless.

After chilling out with celebs at the event like Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas and Charlize Theron, Jacob took name suggestions from fans before revealing her name.

“#drumrollplease Thank you for all your awesome suggestions! Please say hello to #ReyTremblay!!! #namegame #legoatat,” Jacob revealed.

The pup’s name comes from the Star Wars: The Force Awakens character, played by Daisy Ridley.
