Liz Gillies On Releasing An Album: 'Whatever I Put Out Has To Be Great'

Who desperately still wants an album from Liz Gillies? Us too!

During her visit to The Lowdown with Diana Madison recently, the 23-year-old actress opened up about postponing her music, being an old soul and more. Check it:

On moving on from Nickelodeon: “I was ready for it. After I think, altogether maybe five years with Nickelodeon I felt older and I have an old soul already so I was very excited to do something different and this is definitely quite different from Nickelodeon. The title alone… I know, all my parents, family, friends, they would ask me what my next project was expecting me to say it was on Nickelodeon or Disney or something. I’d be like ‘oh it’s Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll‘ they’re like oh! But they like it now. They all watch it, it’s something the parents can watch.”

On promising fans music: “Yeah, I’ve been toying, not toying, I’ve actually promised, very seriously an album on Twitter and to my fans for years now and I haven’t, have never done it because I went back on my word I guess that’s not a good thing. But I just want to make sure I love it. Whatever I put out has to be great, maybe I’m being too much of a perfectionist, I should lighten up and just put something out and I’m going to.”

On being an “old soul”: “When I go home, I like to shop online for furniture and watch the Food Network as opposed to go to clubs it’s very sad. I’m gonna be 23 it’s cute but I shouldn’t be doing that right now.”
