Justin Baldoni Wants To See More Stand Up Dads on TV

Justin Baldoni plays one of our favorite characters on television — Rafael Solano on Jane The Virgin.

In a new interview with Regard magazine, the 32-year-old actor opens up about Rafael and also chats about his docu-series, My Last Days. Check it:

On Rafael: “I love that he is a character, that despite all of the obstacles in his life, he is focused on doing the best he can, and he never stops growing and learning. Rafael makes a ton of mistakes, but he always comes back from them and learns something. Unfortunately, his mistakes tend to be pretty massive with insane implications, but the lesson can be distilled down to something any of us can learn from. I also love that he wants to be a present husband and father and that he makes an effort as a man with his children. I think that’s something we need to see more on TV.”

On My Last Days: “I am so insanely proud of the team and cast from this season, and how they shared their stories with so much openness and vulnerability. I know we will find incredible people for next season, but at the end of the day…God is the one running this show, as it’s doing his work. We just have to be open and ego-less enough to hear his direction.”
