Malia Obama and the rest of the First Family may be on their way out of the White House today, but the oldest daughter of Barack and Michelle Obama has plans of her own.
Malia has just secured a highly sought-after internship with famed film producer Harvey Weinstein, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.
She will start work in The Weinstein Co.’s New York City office in February, following her family’s vacation in Palm Springs.
Malia has previously expressed interest in the film industry – she has interned with Lena Dunham‘s HBO series Girls and worked as a production assistant on the the CBS sci-fi series Extant, starring Halle Berry.
Malia will reportedly carry out her post-grad internship in the company’s marketing or development departments before attending Harvard University in the fall.
