Demi Lovato Confronts President Trump Over Dividing the Country
President Donald Trump continues to publicly shame, and Demi Lovato isn’t having it.
The 24-year-old singer directly responded to the President’s tweet, which shames two Democrats — well, the entire party, really — who organized a rally in Washington, D.C..
“@realDonaldTrump how about you stop dividing our country into two parties and unite us like a President should,” Demi tweeted.
Followed by a plea for the country to unite, despite the current political climate. “I’m just sad that we can’t all come together regardless of sex, race, religion, political party.. etc. we need to now more than ever,” she said.

Demi has been increasing her activism lately. Two weeks ago, she went to Kenya to work with children as part of the #WeToMeMovement.
She also marched in the street of Los Angeles in the 2017 Women’s March, where she ran into famed guitarist The Edge, a member of U2, one of the world’s most politically active bands.
Seeing these activists — from totally different generations — should-to-shoulder is pretty cool:
