Ed Sheeran Made Up The Story Of Princess Beatrice Cutting His Face With A Sword!

It’s not even April Fool’s Day and Ed Sheeran and James Blunt already pulled off the biggest prank of the year.

If you remember, the story went that Ed was cut on the cheek by Princess Beatrice of York, while she was trying to “knight” James at a dinner party…but apparently, this is a made up story!

In an interview with U.K. men’s lifestyle magazine ShortList, James admitted it was all a lie.

“Ed was drunk, messing around, and he cut himself,” James revealed. “We made a fancy story up, people fell for it. It was very embarrassing.”

He added, jokingly, “It’s bizarre that people fell for it. I blame him. He must be desperate — he’s trying to sell records.”

Ed even joked about the incident in a charity performance, too.
