Sophie Turner's Character Is One of 'GoT' Showrunner David Benioff's Favorites

Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams look like the very best of friends while at the Game of Thrones panel during the 2017 SXSW Festival on Sunday (March 12) in Austin, Tex.

The actresses served as moderators during the panel with their showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff.

During the panel, David revealed that Sophie‘s Sansa Stark is one of his favorite characters, via Variety.

“For me, to be honest, even in the books, book readers would always hate Sansa and I always loved her because she seemed like a real person. Yeah, she’s really annoying sometimes and she’s a stuck up teenager somethings,” he said. “But she goes through one of the most interesting journeys�She’s always been one of my favorite characters.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden also showed up for a photo.
