Hope's Safety Concern No. 1 on 'The Originals'

Things are getting really intense on The Originals and right now, the only thing that matters, seems to be Hope’s safety.

The Mikaelsons and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), of course, will stop at nothing to protect her, which is why the Hayley/Elijah romance is on hold for now.

Executive producer Michael Narducci told TVLine.com, “It’s the height of selfishness and irresponsibility to not put [Hope's] needs and concerns first. I’m not saying Hope is an obstacle to anyone’s happiness – far from it, since she’s the source of their inspiration and possibly their redemption – but she’s going to be the center of a lot of what’s going on moving forward.”

Phoebe added, “Not only does she have a mother and father who are willing to do anything to keep her safe, but this little girl also has all these very protective aunts and uncles,” she explains. “It’s a nice thing to see all these grown adults who are just completely devoted to this young girl.”

The Originals airs Fridays @ 8PM on The CW.
