Cole Sprouse Reveals The One Question The 'Riverdale' Cast Hates Answering

The cast of Riverdale are asked a ton of questions in every interview they have.

Who do you think killed Jason Blossom? Why is Archie so niave? What’s the deal with Jughead’s family?

Those are safe questions — the ones you’ll definitely get answers to. But there’s one the cast isn’t really fond of, according to Cole Sprouse.

“Well, the question we get all the time as a cast is, ‘Are you a Betty or Veronica person?’” he reveals, adding, “I don’t like that.”

Cole adds, “I think it’s hard and it also puts the cast members against one another in a strange and competitive way that makes me a little uncomfortable. So most of our cast don’t even answer it.”

However, Cole will gladly answer which ‘ship he’s rooting for: Bughead, Beronica or Barchie? Spoilers? It’s not Bughead.

Betty & Archie

“I actually really ship Betty and Archie,” Cole shared. “When I would read the Archie comics when I was younger I was rooting for Betty and Archie way over any alternative.”

He continued, “[I think I would have seen] that long-lived, childlike romance from two people knowing each other since youth as probably quite romantic. I am a sucker for that childhood romance narrative.”
