Rowan Blanchard Isn't Trying to Compare Herself to Miley, Selena, or Demi

Rowan Blanchard used to constantly be compared to other Disney stars.

The 15-year-old actress recently opened up about it during her new interview on Janet Mock‘s Never Before podcast.

“The first thing I would get asked is ‘So are you going to be a Miley [Cyrus], a Selena [Gomez], or a Demi [Lovato]?’ The three options,” Rowan said. “And I was just like a) I’m twelve. And b) I’m so confused what that even means right now…”

She continued, “Having experienced just a small fraction of what they’ve experienced, it’s incredibly scary to not only have to check in with yourself but have to check in to make sure your audience doesn’t think you’re crazy.”
