Grace VanderWaal is 100% Sure Deaf Singer Mandy Harvey is the Winner of 'America's Got Talent'

It’s been exactly one year now since Grace VanderWaal first took the stage on America’s Got Talent with a viral performance (and went on to win the entire show.) Now, she is rooting for a new talent who she sees herself in — AGT contestant Mandy Harvey.

Mandy is a deaf singer and songwriter who blew the judges away and was lauded with a golden buzzer with an original song — just like Grace.

“This is the most amazing special thing I have seen,” Grace wrote in response to a clip of Mandy‘s audition, “Just magical.”

Mandy, of course, was delighted to hear from the 13-year-old superstar. “AHHHHH Thank you @GraceVanderWaal,” she replied, ” …If you ever need another Ukulele loving gal to sing with i’m here! #goldenbuzzertwins #agt.”

“I would be beyond honored!” Grace answered, “I can’t even find the words to explain how blown away I am by you and I am 100% sure that you are the winner.”

So are we, and we love that Grace is taking an interest in mentoring new talent! These two women have so much in common, and they are both so talented. Between Mandy, nine-year-old Angelica Hale‘s singing chops, and ventriloquist Darcy Lynne Farmer (watch here), this season is sure to have fierce competition!
