Shawn Mendes is all about telling the best story through his music and he’s aiming to make new music that will turn into the soundtrack of your life.

“I want to create anthems for people,” the “Mercy” singer told Clash magazine. “I want to create anthems for big moments in their lives.”

Shawn adds that he wants all his music to have that staying power.

“I don’t want my music to play for a few months and then go away forever. And not only that, I want to do incredible things that make a difference too,” he shared.

“I think it’s not only about the music you release, it’s about the things you do while you’re making the music.”
