Jake Miller Had To Actually Re-Build a Bed in Downtown L.A. For His Album Cover

By now, we’ve all seen Jake Miller‘s album cover for 2 AM in LA.

It features a bed, a lamp, a table, and a guitar — with no Jake in sight — in the dead of night. So, how did he pull it off?

“We went to downtown L.A. I think it was like, 2 or 3 in the morning and we were there for about 45 minutes,” Jake reveals to NKD mag for his July cover story.

“We had to break the bed down, put it in the U-Haul truck, drive it to the location, build the bed and this is all without a permit, so we were hoping that we wouldn’t get arrested, and we didn’t,” he adds. “It was really fun.”

Talk about a stealth operation!

Jake continues, “I think it’s the first album cover of mine that I’ m not in, which I kind of wanted to do. I did that on purpose. I just didn’t want the album to be about me or my face or my body. I wanted it to be more about the music.”
