Jake T. Austin's 'Emoji Movie' Character Gets So Nervous Talking to Girls

Jake T. Austin is dishing on his new film The Emoji Movie.

The 22-year-old actor is playing a character who sounds totally different from him!

“I play the boy in the movie. All the other characters, they have experience in life. They’re nuanced in relationships and romantic adventures. My character has never even spoken to a girl before,” Jake told CinemaBlend.com. “He’s so nervous. He’s so anxious to have a conversation with a girl that he forget what he’s going to say. He ruins it the first time he goes up to her. And in Alex, in this film, he’s faced with a dilemma. Does he delete… does he get his phone fixed and erase the world of the Emojis, Textopolis? Or does he work with these Emojis and find out that something inside of him is brewing, a personality he never knew existed.”
