The Weeknd Might Start Going by Abel Tesfaye!

Most of us only know The Weeknd by his stage name, but there is a chance he’ll stop going by the made-up persona in the future!

The 27-year-old “I Feel It Coming” singer and boyfriend of Selena Gomez is considering dropping the stage name for his real one, Abel Tesfaye.

“Kind of like pulling a Ziggy Stardust. Maybe I’ll retire from being The Weeknd,” he told Harper’s Bazaar, adding, “maybe I’ll just give him a break.”

The Weeknd says he likes the stage name because it creates mystery.

“I’m not in a rush to let people know everything about me. Mystery is always great,” he said. “Luckily, the only thing the world demands of me is music. I don’t have to give them anything else for the rest of my life.”
