'13 Reasons Why' Stars Reveal Season 2 is All Original Content

13 Reasons Why has added a handful of new actors to season two this week and that’s not all — they also have all original content coming.

“It’s juicy.. that’s the word I’ll come up with,” Steven Silver, who plays Marcus Cole, shared with ET about the upcoming season.

He adds, “This season we can kinda hit the ground running ’cause we did a lot of that framework in season one…season two is all original content — we’re starting from scratch.”

“You can see some of the other characters develop that were not so developed in season one or in the book. You can see more of an ensemble.”

Katherine Langford and Dylan Minnette, aka Hannah and Clay, agree.

“It’s naturally going to progressively get to a more emotional place, due to the nature of the story we’re telling,” Dylan says. “I’m sure we’re all heading in some dark directions again. I think anybody would be surprised if we weren’t.”

“This season feels like a very different show,” Katherine shared. “Everyone wants to very much protect the story and the content of the story ’cause that makes the TV show engaging.”
