'Shadowhunters' Season 2 Finale: Which Character Died?

SPOILERS AHEAD!

So many things were happening on tonight’s season finale of Shadowhunters that you probably couldn’t handle any emotions. Are we right?

We saw Malec rekindle their relationship, Clary and Jace truly become a couple worth watching and the Seelie Queen team up with Valentine to get what she wanted — Simon.

But, we’re 100% sure that all you were actually concentrating on was who was going to die.

“We teased major deaths by the end of the season,” Katherine McNamara shared in an interview ahead of the show. “Even though there is only one episode left, we haven’t seen the last of the brutality of this world.”

JACE & VALENTINE

Valentine killed Jace, which sent Clary into a rage spiral. However, he was resurrected AFTER Clary killed Valentine and he used his “one wish” with the angel to resurrect the man she loves.

“Clary losing Jace was a breaking point for her,” Katherine told EW. “It’s the last thing that Valentine can take from her and it’s the one thing that she was holding onto. That is the final straw for Clary and you see it, you see her break. You see Clary for the first time quit caring about her own life and you see her go into almost a blind rage.”

She adds, “It’s that fierceness and that feral nature that Valentine and Jonathan both have that comes out of her for the first time, and I think it even scares Valentine a little bit.”
