Meghan Trainor's 'Magical Love Story' With Daryl Sabara Inspired Her New Album

Meghan Trainor is opening up about the inspiration behind her upcoming third album!

The “All About That Bass” singer says her fiance Daryl Sabara, who popped the question late last December, had a lot to do with her writing sessions.

When asked what inspired the new album lyrically, Meghan told Parade magazine, “The boy. I’m engaged. Thanks so much. Thank you. I’m in love.”

When asked if there are songs about the engagement on the album, Megan replied, “Not about the engagement but madly in love, new month one love, you know? Like, ‘I want to be with you forever. I pick you and I feel safe here and this is perfect.’”

“This is one of those magical love stories,” she added, “so I wrote a lot about that and a lot of my other stuff, love yourself and be happy in life. I went through a dark tunnel with my second surgery and mentally was really depressed and sad even though I had him with me, and I was like, ‘I choose to be happy. I don’t want to do this anymore,’ and I wrote a lot about that, which helped me.”
