'Charmed' Reboot Casts First Leading Lady - Meet Melonie Diaz!

Melonie Diaz has landed a leading role in the upcoming Charmed reboot at The CW!

The 33-year-old actress, who is probably best known for her role in Fruitvale Station, will take on the role of Mel, the middle sister, THR reports.

Mel is described as a strong-willed feminist, who feels deeply and is a bit controlling. She is in her mid 20s, a lesbian, and the sister of Madison. In the wake of a tragic accident, the grieving Mel becomes angry, defiantly unkempt, even violent, pushing away those who might help her, including her girlfriend, Detective Soo Jin. Mel’s power is time-freezing.

Last week, it was announced that Ser’Darius Blain has been cast as Macy’s boyfriend.
