Normani Opens Up About Her Debut Solo Album: 'I Want This To Completely Represent Me'
Normani has big plans for her debut solo album.
Speaking with Beats 1, the former Fifth Harmony singer revealed that she has one main mission with her solo debut.
“Honestly, I feel like I’ve experienced a lot in the last six years, so I feel like just getting all of that out,” Normani says.
She adds, “Whatever comes to mind, whatever I’m going through at the moment, I just want this to be an album that completely represents who Normani is, and for some people, it may be the first time.”
Normani also opened up about who she’s working with for the record.
“I’m the beginning stages, still,” she shares. “I’ve gotten the chance to work with The Stereotypes, I’m going to be in with the Monsters and the Strangerz, Sarah Aarons, Sailor Heart, Victoria Monét, Ester [Dean] — I’m getting in with her very soon, too, so I’m excited.”
