'13 Reasons Why' Season Two Could Be Delayed More Following a Group's Concerns

If you’re like us, then you’re anxious to hear just when the new season of 13 Reasons Why will premiere.

The first season premiered last year on March 31st and we were all pretty bummed that the second season didn’t follow suit – and now we’re hearing it might be delayed even more.

According to THR, The Parents Television Council wants Netflix to hold off on airing the hit show until “experts in the scientific community have determined it to be safe for consumption” by minors.

Even after adding new intros from the cast warning viewers of the graphic content and serious issues discussed, to both seasons, the group is still wanting more.

In addition to having scientific experts determine that the show is “safe,” the group also wants Netflix to implement a pricing structure to allow subscribers to opt out of adult or explicit programming in exchange for a reduction in price; work with a filtering service provider to allow consumers to censor explicit content; and participate in a national symposium to “develop and identify effective protective measures for children and families,” citing the Child Safe Viewing Act.

Here’s still hoping that we get the new season sometime this year.
