Justin Bieber did something super old school before proposing to fiancee Hailey Baldwin!

The 24-year-old “What Do You Mean?” pop prince asked Hailey‘s father, Stephen Baldwin, for her hand in marriage before popping the question, according to TMZ.

Justin and Stephen reportedly met “several weeks ago” to discuss the proposal, and that it was very important for Justin to get Stephen‘s approval.

Stephen is also a minister in New York, and was seemingly impressed by Justin‘s Christian values. The newly engaged couple also both attend Hillsong Church.
