Cole Sprouse Explains Why Ben Disappeared From 'Friends'

Ever wonder why Ben, Cole Sprouse‘s character in Friends, seemed to mysteriously disappear from the show in the later seasons?

The Riverdale actor shared his thoughts about Ross Geller’s son in a recent episode of GQ‘s “Actually Me.”

“Critics would agree that Ross was never really the most present father,” Cole said. “And so it doesn’t surprise me too much.”

Cole also opened up about why his twin brother Dylan Sprouse – whom he’d shared all his roles with before Friends – wasn’t cast to play Ben as well.

“Honestly, our appearance as the same character was sort of dependent on how much screen time we had,” Cole revealed. “In Friends, for example, my role was not too present.”

“They only really needed to hire one twin, because both of us were incredibly expensive,” he joked.
