Nina Dobrev to Star in New Comedy 'Sick Girl'

Nina Dobrev is getting involved behind-the-scenes with her newest movie!

The 30-year-old Vampire Diaries actress has signed on to star in and executive produce the upcoming indie comedy Sick Girl, according to Deadline.

Sick Girl will also star Wendi McLendon-Covey, Brandon Mychal Smith, Sherry Cola, Stephanie Koenig, Hayley Magnus, Dan Bakkedahl, and Ray McKinnon.

The movie focuses on Wren Pepper (Nina), who tells a white lie when she feels that she and her lifelong friends have grown apart. Wren’s lie sets off an “unexpected ride” and threatens to tear her community apart.

Nina shared a photo from the first day of filming Sick Girl in an Instagram post on Wednesday (July 24).

“It has officially begun. The beginning of the end 👉🏼 [ @sickgirlmovie ] 🎬 ‼️#EveryDayWeInchCloserToDeath,” she wrote.
