JoJo Siwa Opens Up About Voicing TWO Characters In 'The Angry Birds Movie 2'

JoJo Siwa recently spoke with JustJaredJr.com all about her feature film debut in The Angry Birds Movie 2!

The 16-year-old entertainer, who is currently on her D.R.E.A.M. The Tour, took some time to chat with us about her hatchling character Jay, AND her second character, Kira the eagle.

“What a lot of people don’t know is that I actually voice another character named Kira, so her. She’s an eagle security guard. It’s only a few lines with her I did. With Jay, I had a lot more lines,” JoJo dished. “[Kira]‘s a tough character, she’s good.”

JoJo also shared memories of playing the Angry Birds games, her reaction to seeing Jay for the first time, and so much more.

Just Jared Jr: Were you a fan of the video games?
JoJo Siwa: “I used to play the video games all the time. I remember me and my brother used to play it and it was all about beating him. I haven’t played in a while, but I think I’d still be pretty good at it. Now, it’s just crazy that I’m in the movie. It’s unreal.”

JJJ: What was your first reaction when you saw your character?
JS: “The first time I was in the recording studio about to record the movie and it was just so cute! I loved it right away and was obsessed with it. I didn’t know what it was going to look like at all and when I saw Jay, she was just so adorable.”

JJJ: Did you find it different recording a voice for a movie compared to recording a song?
JS: “There’s definitely a difference. For me, I had to do a lot of ADR where I had to match my voice to what had already been animated. It could’ve been tricky to do that, but it was okay. The producer and director were all incredible and made it super easy to record it.”

JJJ: What are three words to describe your character?
JS: “Funny, adorable and outgoing.”

JJJ: Why should fans go see this movie?
JS: “It’s a movie for everyone. The parents are going to love it, the kids are going to love it. It’s just a movie for everyone.”

JJJ: What do you think are the funniest scenes in the movie?
JS: “My favorite scene is when the truth balloons come into town and they fly in and my character Jay, she tries to catch one of the balloons and ends up flying away.”

JJJ: Do you think Jay should get her own spin-off movie? What would it be about?
JS: Absolutely! Why wouldn’t she?
