In the clip, the former couple are rehearsing with the dancers to the tune of “Breaking Free” when Ricky messes up a move and Nini gets upset at him for not taking it seriously. She then calls him out for his intentions on trying out for the musical.
Here’s a synopsis of “The Read Through”: E.J. (Matt Cornett) is jealous and reeling after losing the leading role of “Troy” to Ricky, and Miss Jenn (Kate Reinders) tells the conflicted leading lady, Nini, to “trust the process.”
