YouTube Rewind 2019 Receives Backlash After Trying To Right Their Wrong From 2018

YouTube tries to make fans and creators happy with their 2019 Rewind, but still come up short.

The video website shared their new rewind video which features some highlights off the site, as well as top lists for Most Viewed Creators, Most Liked YouTube Creator Videos, Most Liked Beauty YouTube Videos, and more.

While this year’s video showed off a lot more of creators and what was liked on the platform, fans and creators expressed their continued dislike for the annual video.

“Pretty disappointed in YouTube rewind tbh.. very out of touch. There’s more to creating than numbers! We need to give people credit for their effort/talent, not how much attention they get. very cool people were given recognition in the vid but for the wrong reasons I feel… :/,” Ethan Dolan started off a multiple tweet rant about the video.

“2019 youtube rewind doesnt feel like youtube rewind… the amount of effort and laziness they put for the video.. #YouTubeRewind #YouTubeRewind2019,” one Twitter user wrote.

“YouTube rewind 2019 should be renamed to top 10 liked videos of 2019 what the the f–ck was that,” another wrote.

While YouTube tried to right their wrong from last year, as of this posting, the 2019 video currently has 5.9 million dislikes and 2.5 million likes. It is currently the third most disliked video in YouTube history, following YouTube Rewind 2018 and Justin Bieber‘s “Baby” music video.
