OlderDemi Lovato Opens Up About How Her Life Was Really Controlled By Her Previous Team
Demi Lovato looks happy to be at The Ellen DeGeneres Show!
The 27-year-old singer was beaming during her appearance on the talk show, which airs Thursday afternoon, March 5. She was on the show ahead of the release of her single “I Love Me” on Friday.
Demi got the chance to talk about her upcoming music, relapsing and her struggles with bulimia. It was revealed that her previous team had hid all the snacks that had sugar in them that Ellen leaves for her guests in their dressing rooms.
“I didn’t know that until today, too,” Demi shared. “I lived a life for the past six years that I felt wasn’t my own. It was, I don’t like to use this word but, controlled.”
She added, “If I was in my hotel room at night, they would take the telephone away so I couldn’t order room service, or if there was fruit in my room, they would take it out, because that’s extra sugar.”
Demi recalled that this was the first year in a long time that she had actual birthday cake.
